Can detangling spray damage your hair?

I have straight but very thick hair...would it damage my hair if I regularly used detangling spray on it?

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

It doesn't damage your hair. I use it all of the time and it works really well. Try one with vitamins in it so it can also help your hair.

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

Detangling spray doesnt damage it works like a charm

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

any product you put in your hair damages your hair... that's why I never wash mine :-D

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

It won't at all damage your hair, but you do want to be mindful of HOW you comb your hair while tangled. Use a wide tooth comb, and comb gently.

Do you condition your hair? If you don't, you may want to try it, and comb your hair while the conditioner is in it with wide tooth comb. I'm talking wide enough to be able to put the tip of your pinky finger in between teeth

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

No, instead it will help prevent the damage you have from combing out knots. Dont be afraid to use it. It will make it so much easier for you to comb through your hair. Also, use mane and tail conditioner and shampoo. Its excellent for long hair and detangling.

Can detangling spray damage your hair?

Hey there! I recently found the BEST detangler of all for my hair. Last week in fact. Jojoba oil works like a charm! It is the best item I've ever used in my hair. My hair is always prone to alot of tangles because my hair is dry. The jojoba oil really moisturizes well without weighing my hair down. If your hair isn't too dry use a little. If it's dry use more. I usually use about a nickel size and spread it all over my hands then evenly distribute throughout the ends of my hair.

Previously I had used:

coconut oil (didn't moisturize enough ~ hard to wash out),

olive oil (not enough moisturizing),

carrot oil (actually dried mine ~ could've been an additive),

grapeseed oil (too hard 2 wash out %26amp; built up ~think I used too much ~ a little goes a lonnnggg way). This oil is very good for other things as well. Imagination's the limit ;-)

Shea butter (haven't used enough to see how this works, plus I'd like to try the unrefined version as well before determining if this works). Shea is SO versatile for many applications besides hair.

As you can see I've had many trial and errors over the years.

So far I totally LOVE the jojoba oil. Try it ~ worth it for $5.

Later I'm going to dilute some in a spray bottle with water to see what results I get that way. Just looking for more ways to evenly distribute this awesome stuff.

What do you spray on your hair before using a hot iron?

My hair is colored and dry and doesn't hold a curl from an iron or straighten right from a flat iron, I thought maybe some kind of setting spray would help. What should I use? Alcohol free spray gel?

What do you spray on your hair before using a hot iron?

I use tressemme iron style and hold, and it usually keeps my hair straight or curly for the rest of the day.

What do you spray on your hair before using a hot iron?

you can find it at most drug stores or beauty supply stores. there are many brands, but they will usually say 'protects from heat/styling damage'

that's what you want.

What do you spray on your hair before using a hot iron?

Hmm well I use a spray before I blowdry and use a protective oil while I flat iron because I find that using a spray while I flat iron makes it sticky, dry and most of all wavy!! So try the spray before you dry and oil while you iron it makes it silky and soft :)

At Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or a grocery store you can find just the spray you're looking for: V05 heat defense (can't remember if that is the actual title, but that is the brand). I used to use that when I straightened my hair and it worked great.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

I get mine at Sally's Beauty Supply, and the brand of mine is Beyond the Zone. It works great for my hair, and my hair is VERY curly.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

Walmart should have different brands like L'Oreal, Garnier Fructis, Herbal Essences (which do a pretty good job for a $5 product). If you want the more high end products you should go to a salon.

Where can I get spray stuff to spray on my hair before I straighten it?

Kerastase Oleo Relax is great. I have curly hair and straighten it often. I buy mine at my hair salon. They have a website (www.kerastase.com) that can help you find a salon that carries their products.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair

What thermal spray should I use? How should i use it so that it doesn't wet my hair.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

You need to read it and if it says it should be used on dry hair before flat ironing, then hold it 10 inches away from your head and lightly mist it. The sound is probably from too much product on your hair and also you probably see steam from the moisture in the product. Alterna makes an awesome flat iron spray called straightening starch and it smells yummy. I love that one the best.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

Thermal spray should be used before blow drying. It then gets absorbed in to your hair and protects it from the heat. If it makes a noise(sizzles) it's actually ok, it's just steam, not smoke, and it's not burning your hair.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

i suggest you use thermal spray, before blown drying

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

Yeah, and something else could possibly happen right after that noise.. Let's see.. it's called...hmmm!

Oh, yeah, I remember now: Electricute.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

You should use the spray before you dry your hair. You could also try a leave in conditioner that you apply before you dry your hair. It is best to have some sort of product on your hair so that when you do use the flat iron it won't burn your hair.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

i wouldn't use that thermal spray and try some thing i am not sure what you could use though ,sorry

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

you don't necessarily HAVE to use thermal protectors before blow drying. If you apply it just before the flat iron, simply combing it through with a comb will usually stop the snap, crackle and pop.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

hmmmm...i think ur spose 2 use it b 4 u blow dry ur hair

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

That noise you hear is actually steam popping, and it can damage your hair.

I suggest you try a great product by Redkin called Spray Starch. Its excellent for straitening, and even if you use it in the morning, and want to touch your hair up in the evening; you don't need to apply more. The heat from the curling iron reactivates it.

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO USE IT WHEN YOUR HAIR IS WET OR THAT MEANS ITS BURNING YOUR HAIR STUPID

Thermal spray wets my hair. When i use my flat iron it makes a noise as though my iron is on wet hair.Any idea?

AFTER WASH AND CONDTIONING THE HAIR APPLY THERMAL SPRAY WHILE HAIR IS DAMP.BLOW DRY HAIR BY SECTIONS LIKE PUTTING A CROSS INTO THE MIDDLE OF YOUR HEAD.THEN USE YOUR FLAT IRON.

use the spray before u dry ur hair

A spray for smelly hair?

I once saw a spray at Target a couple years ago that was supposed to 'revitalize' morning-after hair from the smell of smoke, sleep, etc. Does anyone know what the product is and if there's something like it I could buy?

And don't tell me to just wash my hair! lol. I want to use it for times when I wake up and go to the gym, grocery, etc. before I shower for the day. Thanks!

A spray for smelly hair?

Bath and Body works has a hair deodorizer in several scents and I think it's 4.95 .I have some plumeria and I bought it for the same reason you are looking to buy.If you are not a Bath and Body Works kinda person I also know that Paul Mitchell has one as well, however the price difference is probly substantial. Some people use regular perfume but if you have color on your hair and you use it daily it will dry out your hair and may do some color damage not to mention I don't want to waste Chanel #5 on my hair either.Good luck go to a beauty supply shop they may have something too.

A spray for smelly hair?

Animal,

this might seem odd put when I used to have smelly hair I would spray febreeze in it...the concept works for fabric and apparently hair too.

Hair gel, spray, mousse, etc. Which to use?

I am a male who keeps my hair fairly short.

Anyhow, I need a product that will make my hair manageable, but I don't want helmet head (extremely stiff hair). I've been using some type of mousse, and I dislike it, because my hair turns into a rock.

I want something that has a bit of holding power, because my hair likes to stick up on the sides near the top, and I want my hair to remain soft after the stuff dries. Soft hair is a must.

Anyone have any recommendations? I am fairly naive when it comes to hair care products.

Also, what are some of the ingredients to avoid? I've heard some hair care products have ingredients in them that have adverse effects on a person's health.

Hair gel, spray, mousse, etc. Which to use?

try panteene firm hold gel

Hair gel, spray, mousse, etc. Which to use?

grow it out and make it disheveled. women love the wild look on guys these days

Hair gel, spray, mousse, etc. Which to use?

well, all gel types keep the hair strong. But, try to use styling cream instead of gel. It will give you the look you want.
