Ry-Guy has it right. Some CFC's can contribute to the greenhouse effect, but mostly they destroy the ozone layer very effectively. Report It

the destruction of the ozone layer is what is responsible for the green house effect. so its logical to say that if something destorys the ozone layer, and damage to the ozone layer causes the green house effect, then that something can be held responsible for the green house effect. Report It

Actually, CFCs are responsible for breaking up the ozone layer, and they do a mighty fine job of it if let loose. The greenhouse effect is something else.
