How should i get my hair to stay curled by curling iron without hair spray on the iron?

I use a texturizing spray in my hair after i blow it dry. the curls stay in from the spray, and they look great! the spray is not sticky or anything, but it gives your hair that "rough" kind of look, and it works great to keep the curls in, and once you curl it, the hair looks smooth but texturized

You don't spray the iron, you spray the hair first. There isn't really a way to make hair last longer when using a curling iron without spray. The finer the hair the faster your curls will drop. i like to you pantene light hair spray. its flexible and it doesn't leave your hair sticky. And my curls last a long time. If you want you curls to last even longer. try wet setting your hair. Not too hard depending on the length of your hair. when you hair is damp apply a setting lotion and the roll the with steam or regular rollers in the direction you want the curl to go.looser or tighter depending on how loose or tight you want the curl. For big flowing waves use a bigger roller. Seperate your curls with your fingers not a comb
